In his sophomore release, “Maccabee,” Jacob Montague of Achilles and the Tortoise takes a slightly new direction. While maintaining much of the folk instrumentation found on his first release “Home,” Jacob adds new layers of ambience and electronics, painting a rounder backdrop for this five-song story about the space-time explorer Maccabee.
