In this sophomore release, “Maccabee,” Achilles and the Tortoise takes a slightly new direction. While maintaining much of the folk instrumentation found on their first release “Home,” Achilles and the Tortoise adds new layers of ambience and electronics, painting a rounder backdrop for this five-song story about the space-time explorer Maccabee.
